About
Space in Sound is a video label started by Scott Rouse.
The label lives at the intersection of Scott’s work as a videographer and musician.
Showcasing over two decades of audiovisual works, with a frequent focus on nature and wilderness, releases are created with analog and digital tools spanning over sixty years of technology.
In October of 2024, Scott was accepted to the Arctic Circle Residency (www.thearcticcircle.org).
As one of 30 applicants chosen from around the world, Scott joined the final Arctic voyage of the Tall Ship Antigua, sailing around the island of Svalbard, Norway. In the Arctic, his work involved capturing video and field recordings to help document the fastest warming region in the world due to climate change. This label will feature future works based on this experience.
